Welcome to our comprehensive program for International Students and Visiting Scholars.
We hope that we may be of assistance so that your stay here in Pittsburgh will be enjoyable and worthwhile. We realize that all International Students/Scholars are very busy with studies and/or research; however, a full education must include intercultural relationships and experiences outside of the university setting. We at P.R.I.S.M. seek to assist in this aspect of your educational endeavors in the United States. Please take a moment to read our web site and learn of all the programs that are offered to Pittsburgh's international students, visiting scholars and families. A Word from the Director, Rev. Scott Boyd
I sincerely hope some of our programs will allow you to build relationships that will help you through the challenges of living cross-culturally. We are here to serve you and to make your cultural experience here a rich part of your educational experience. Our programs are designed to give you a friendly way to interact with American culture. Sometimes international students ask our staff at P.R.I.S.M., "why are you helping me?" Our answer is really very simple. It is because we have experienced God's goodness and believe He desires us to show kindness to others. Even in the midst of your busy study schedule, let me invite you to include intercultural relationships in your educational experience. Once again, we invite you to browse our web site to learn more about our programs for international students and scholars. I look forward to meeting you soon and I wish you a great start to the new academic year. So please, take a few moments to look around, there's so much more to see.

I want to communicate a warm welcome to you as an international student. For nine years, my family and I lived in Slovenia where we experienced the joys and frustrations of living in another culture.
