Some of our international student activities take place throughout the year, on a weekly basis.PRISM Open House:September through December: Sunday evenings, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, beginning September 12, 2010. January through March: Sunday evenings, 5:00 - 7:00 PM Located at Bellefield church (4001 Fifth Avenue-across from the Pitt Book Center). This weekly event is an informal time to share a meal and meet other internationals and Americans. A light supper is followed by a discussion time where you can practice your English. This is also a place where you can learn more about PRISM, meet the staff, and sign up for our international student activities.
Ten Week Cooking Class:Friday Mornings: 10:00 AM -12:00 noon. Learn American cooking! Spring and Fall sessions offered. Cost is $4 each week for supplies. Child care is also available, $6.00 per child. Meets at Bellefield Church. Fall class September 17 through November 19. Bible Studies:Tuesday Lunch Break: 12:00-1:00 PM at the PRISM office. Bring your lunch with you for a short time of Bible Study and prayer. January 12 through April 26. Monday evenings: 7:30 at a home in Shadyside. Contact the PRISM office for directions and details. Thursday evenings: 7:30-9:00 PM in Oakland. Contact the PRISM office for directions and details. Saturday mornings: 9:00 - 10:30 AM at Bellefield Church. Join us for breakfast and Bible study. Women's Bible Studies:Wednesday mornings: 10:00 - 11:30 AM. An opportunity to examine the Book which has been the single most important factor in influencing the traditional American value system. This study is for women. It combines English practice and discussion of the basic teachings of the Christian faith.
