What To Expect at PRISM Gatherings
Our hope for every PRISM gathering is that you would feel welcomed and loved. As you get settled into Pittsburgh, we encourage you to meet new people, and our events are a great place to do just that!
You will discover that our greatest passion is discussing, learning, and growing to be more like God. And we can know God personally because of what the Bible has told us about Him!
Coming to America might bring mixed emotions for you. Leaving your family and friends is challenging for everyone, and we want to help in this new period of your life. Change, however, brings opportunities for personal growth, and to learn about things you may have never heard before.
One of the biggest things you'll discover at PRISM is that we are a committed and passionate group of people who truly follow the Christian faith. We don't believe in just "religion", but in a personal and life-changing relationship with Jesus, the true Son of God.
- We believe all people from all nations should have an opportunity to learn and understand who Jesus is
- We believe Jesus was a true person who lived a real life just like us, and that his life is recorded in the Bible
- We believe Jesus was fully man and fully God, and that his death was the perfect sacrifce to make humanity right with God
- We are confident that the pure love of God, found in His son Jesus, is what all of creation and humanity are longing for
- We talk about grace more than guilt, because God has shown us grace through Jesus
- We think having fun AND discussing life's serious questions can coexist
- We will never pressure you to believe the Christian message, because grace is a free gift, not an obligation
- PRISM is committed to helping you as you consider how to live a life of faith and trust in the one true God.
